Got It Covered was started in June 2005 with a basic website and a small stock of chair covers out of the family home.
Four months after starting we left the safety of full time employment and began manufacturing table linen and coloured organza sashes. Our house was soon overrun with linen of all types. Many an hour was spent well into the night hand ironing linen on our family dining table to ensure it was ready for the courier.
It wasn't long before the business out grew home, and we moved into our current Richmond premises. From there the company started to expend rapidly, complete with 6 permanent staff brought in to help with orders, linen, enquiries and customer consultations. Not to mention the large expantion of our linen, decorative items and imported chairs.
Dreams of expansion started to take on real possibility with the opening of our second full time showroom in Blenheim in 2010. The business has come a long way from the dining room table.
In 2009 Got it Covered won the Radio Network Small Business Award in Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce Business awards.
